A Quiet Place To Listen
As a young girl I often sought out quiet places to be still and think. If I could hide away in my grandfather's extensive vegetable garden I would. I'd crouch down and play in the dirt and watch the tiny bugs scurry around - feeling the sun sink into my skin and warm my whole body. I would've loved to do it in a flower garden even more and feel the soft petals and be alone with the color and my thoughts - I loved being alone with my thoughts in a quiet place because it was easier to feel closer to God that way. As an adult I often forget to take the time I so often sought as a child, but I think it is no less important. Especially when seeking an answer to a question. Sometimes moving forward and taking actions is the way to gain an answer, but sometimes, you need a quiet place to listen.
